A "Down to the Wire" Finish

With 3 holes to play there were 5 players within two shots of the lead so the stage was set. Garret Kucher out of Predator Ridge and this year's Ogopogo Invitational Winner held a one shot lead on the 16th Tee over Brandon Ortiz, Justin Schultz and Jeremey Osborne. Brandon Ortiz made things very interesting by rolling in an eagle putt on the 16th hole to capture a one shot lead with two holes to play. Kucher birdied the par three 17th to get into a tie coming up the par 5 18th. Both Ortiz and Kucher went for the green in two and Kucher succeeded to leave himself with an eagle putt while Ortiz ended up with a tricky bunker shot from the green side trap. Ortiz made a great shot to leave himself a quick right to left putt of about 10 feet for birdie. Kucher lagged his Eagle putt up to about 2 feet and made birdie. Ortiz needing to make his putt to force a playoff just missed.

The Low Net winner was Roy Daykin playing out of the Harvest Golf Club with a score of 9 under par 135.
