Associate Waiting List Memberships

Our current waiting list has a capacity of 125 Associate Waiting List members, and each year we will only fill "up to" that number. Through attrition and renewal processes each year, we determine the number of vacancies in our voting membership and offer these spots to those at the top of the existing waiting list. This invitation will lower the Associate Waiting List back down to a lesser number, which will allow for more people to be added onto the bottom of the list through the lottery process explained below.

Order of Lottery Priority:

  1. Spouses of existing members are given first priority in the draw
  2. Those who have been in the draw 3 consecutive times and have not been successful in the prior two
  3. All applicants are now in the draw for the first or second time

Once you are on the Associate Waiting List here is a summary of the privileges and fees:
  • Full Social privileges of the Club
  • Preferred 18-hole Green Fee rate of $80 (plus GST) for up to a maximum of 20 rounds per calendar year.
  • Eligible to participate in our Monday Senior Men, Tuesday Men's League, Wednesday Men's Night, Tuesday & Thursday Ladies leagues. (The official league days on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday, mid-May through mid-September, do not count toward your 20 round quota)
  • Eligible to participate in our Member tournaments (approx. 5 per year)
  • Special Member pricing in our Golf Shop and for our Major Tournament Entry Fees
  • Access to booking 3 days in advance within the defined Associate Waiting List areas
  • Access to booking at any time of the day that is available on the same day of play
Applicable Fees once drawn onto the Associate Waiting List:
  • $3,000 Deposit (non-refundable) toward your eventual Entrance Fee when invited into voting Membership (plus applicable GST)
  • 2026 Annual Dues of $669 (plus applicable GST)
  • Golf Canada Fee of $53 (plus applicable GST)
  • Hole In One Insurance of $11, (plus applicable GST)
  • 2026 MHA (Prepaid F & B Minimum) of $800 per calendar year

Each year a member is on the Associate Waiting List, they must pay the Annual Dues, Golf Canada Fee, Hole In One Insurance and MHA. The Entrance Fee Deposit is payable at the time a member is added to the list. Once this deposit is paid it is non-refundable and is put toward the member's eventual Entrance Fee when they transition to voting membership.

Currently, it is estimated that once a member is drawn onto the waiting list, the time to be invited into voting membership is approximately 5 years. This is only an estimation, as we have no exact method of forecasting our attrition on an annual basis, but as a reference in 2025 it was between 4 and 5 years.

Entrance Fee for Voting Membership

Our Entrance Fee is a non-equity position and is non-transferable. This one-time fee is payable at the time a member is invited into voting membership. Upon the invitation, the balance of the Entrance Fee (Entrance Fee at the time of invitation minus Deposit Paid upon joining the Associate Waiting List) must be paid out in full.
Our Entrance Fee for 2026 remained unchanged from the prior year at $17,500 for the first member and $13,000 for a spouse (plus GST). The Entrance Fee is subject to market and inflationary increases on an annual basis.

Intermediate Memberships

Designed for golfers between the ages of 19 and 35, the Intermediate membership offers a dedicated pathway into the club for the next generation of KGCC members. Applications follow the same annual lottery process as the Associate Waiting List, with priority given to graduating juniors, children and grandchildren of existing members, and returning applicants. Full privileges and fee details are available for download below.
The application process is now closed for 2026.

Order of Lottery Priority:

  1. Graduating Juniors who are turning 19 and transitioning from our existing Junior membership into the Intermediate category of membership.
  2. Existing members who have spouses, children and grandchildren looking to join as Intermediates
  3. Third priority in the lottery is given to those that have unsuccessfully applied on two other consecutive occasions and are now applying for their third consecutive attempt.
