Final Round Write Up, Friday, June 16

A great day of golf with Kelowna Golf & Country Club's, Norm Bradley able to separate himself from the competition. After finishing Round One in a four way tie for the lead Bradley stayed focused and tough in the final round to top the 176 player field by 4 shots over his nearest competitors.  Bradley finished the tournament at a two round total of 3 under par (Round One 70 and Round Two 71) and was the only player to finish the tournament with an under par score.

The Overall Low Net winner was Ken Davis playing out of the BC Players Club with a Net Score of 129.

A HUGE Thank you goes out to all of our wonderful volunteers that made all of the players feel so welcome.

Jean Treadgold and her team of Scoring and Registration Ladies, Murray Joyce and Bert Evans as our Players Starters. Tournament Co Chairs, Doug Gossoo and Dennis Andow and all of the wonderful members that lent a helping hand in our trial of the new timing system... THANK YOU!

We appreciate all of the Players travelling from all over the west to come and visit the Club. In all we had 45 different Clubs represented which was fantastic. We wish all of your safe travels home and look forward to seeing you next year.

Many thanks to our sponsors!

Capri Insurance, Voyageur RV and Harmony Honda.

Round One Write Up, Thursday June 15

A great field at the 40th Annual Senior Men's Invitational tournament. The 176 Player field competed in their first round of the 36 hole stroke play event.  The field is deep with skilled players at approx. 70 of them with a 10 HDCP or less. Following the first round of play there were 4 players tied at the top of the leaderboard with scores of 2 under par 70. Mark Spooner of Capilano Golf & CC, Banks Scott of BC Players Club, Earl MacPherson of Semiahmoo Golf Club and the Kelowna Golf & Country Club's, Norm Bradley all shooting impressive rounds to lead the pack into Friday's final round. One shot back at 71 was Jim Shaw of Mission Golf & CC and then with even par 72's were Laren Giacomuzzi of the Kelowna Golf & Country Club and 2016 Champion Len Filek of Summerland. 8 other players shot 73 and then 9 more at 74 so the title is still up for grabs between several players which will prove to be an exciting finish on Friday.

The final round will commence at 6:45 am on Friday, June 16th with the leaders going out at approx. 1:30pm.
